Batangas, found just a few hours from metro Manila, provides the best option for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of city life to experience everything from beautiful beaches and relaxation to nature and adventure activities.
It is also well known for having excellent diving spots. Two of my favourites are Anilao in Mabini, and Sombrero Island in Tingloy.
Sure, the white sand beaches of Palawan, Bohol, Zambales, and Boracay are tempting. And sure the beaches with pink sand on Great Santa Cruz Island are inviting.
However, Batangas offers easy access to amazing white beaches and resorts at a good price without having to book flights and plan months in advance like these other destinations in the Philippines.
